Food and Farm Youth Apprenticeship
La Semilla Community Farm is recruiting youth interested in learning and gaining an immersive experience in farm production, community gardening, leadership skills, desert foods, and agroecological practices. This is a paid opportunity open to youth in the Paso Del Norte region, ages 18 through 23, who can commit to 16 hours a week. Our winter session will run from January 20th through March 5th. Youth selected will receive a stipend of $1500 upon completion of the program. Apply here by January 4th, 2026.

La Semilla Community Farm está reclutando a jóvenes interesados/as en aprender y obtener una experiencia inmersiva en producción agrícola, jardinería comunitaria, habilidades de liderazgo, alimentos del desierto y prácticas agroecológicas. Esta es una oportunidad pagada abierta a jóvenes de la región de Paso del Norte, de 18 a 23 años, que puedan comprometerse a 16 horas por semana. Nuestra sesión de invierno se llevará a cabo del 20 de enero al 5 de marzo. Lxs jóvenes seleccionadxs recibirán un estipendio de $1500 al completar el programa. Call for Creatives
La Semilla Food Center is looking to expand our working list of local writers (essayists, poets, etc.) and visual artists (photographers, videographers, illustrators, etc.) interested in telling the stories of how people in our region are engaging with land and food traditions. Please note that this is NOT a call for a specific contract position. Rather, we are building a list of locally based creatives (within the Paso del Norte Region, encompassing Anthony, NM, El Paso, TX, Las Cruces, NM, Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, Mexico, and immediate surrounding areas) for future paid opportunities.
